CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY:

Teacher brings in a toy computer or shows a chart of a computer and television.
Teacher asks:
“Do you know what this is?” (pointing at computer)
“Does this look like a television?”
“Can your television do what this one does?”
→ Pupils observe and share answers.

MEANING OF A COMPUTER

A computer is a machine that helps us to count, write, draw, and play games.
It is smarter and faster than humans in solving problems.
Unlike a television that only shows us programs, a computer allows us to type, draw, calculate, and even play games.
