Meaning of Mass:
Mass is the amount of matter contained in an object. It does not change even if the object is taken to another place.
Instruments for Measuring Mass:
- Beam balance
- Digital scale
- Spring balance
Units of Mass:
- Gram (g)
- Kilogram (kg)
- Milligram (mg)
Conversion:
1 kilogram (kg) = 1000 grams (g)
Examples:
- The mass of a bag of rice can be 50 kg.
- The mass of a pencil can be 10 g.
