CONTENT OF THE LESSON
Stages of Computer Development (Part 2)
- Third Generation Computers (1964–1971) – It used integrated circuits (IC). They are faster, smaller, more reliable. Example: IBM 360.
- Fourth Generation Computers (1971–Present) – It use microprocessors. They are very small, very fast, cheap. Examples: Desktop computers, laptops.
- Fifth Generation Computers (Present & Future) – It use Artificial Intelligence (AI). They can think and learn. Examples: Smartphones, robots.
INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY
Teacher asks pupils to list gadgets they use at home and classify them into old or new.
