      1. Phonics (Sound /s/)

      Content:

      • Sound: /s/
      • Example words: sun, sit, sand, soap, sack, sad, sip.

      Teacher’s Activities:

      • Pronounce the sound /s/ clearly for pupils.
      • Ask pupils to repeat after the teacher.
      • Show flashcards with words beginning with /s/.
      • Engage pupils in finding more /s/ words.

      Pupils’ Activities:

      • Repeat the sound after the teacher.
      • Identify objects or pictures beginning with /s/.
      • Read aloud given /s/ words.

      1. Reading (Simple Sentences)

      Content:
      Short sentences for reading practice:

      • The sun is hot.
      • I sit on a mat.
      • This is my bag.
      • That is a cat.

      Teacher’s Activities:

      • Write sentences on the board.
      • Read them aloud with correct tone.
      • Guide pupils to read individually and in chorus.

      Pupils’ Activities:

      • Read the sentences aloud.

      1. Structure (Using “This” and “That”)

      Content:

      • “This” is used for something near.
      • “That” is used for something far.

      Examples:

      1. Writing (Two-Letter Words)

      Content:
      Common two-letter words: an, am, at, as, in, it, is, on, up, us, me, my, to, do, go, no, so.

      • Demonstrate writing on the board.
      • Guide pupils to copy into their notebooks.

      Pupils’ Activities:

      • Copy two-letter words neatly into notebooks.
      • Spell and read each word aloud.
      • Use them to form short sentences: I am 6. We go. No pen.

      Evaluation:

      • Pupils write and spell five two-letter words correctly.
