WAEC Extends Registration Deadline for 2025 CB-WASSCE Second Series
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2025 Second Series of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates.
The new deadline is now Friday, September 19, 2025, providing prospective candidates with extra time to complete their registration.
In an official statement shared on its X (formerly Twitter) page, WAEC Nigeria stated:
“The registration period for CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2025 Second Series has been extended to Friday, September 19, 2025. All prospective candidates are admonished to make good use of this opportunity.”
WAEC also emphasized that this extension may be the final opportunity, urging all eligible individuals to take advantage of the additional time.
The CB-WASSCE Second Series is specifically designed for private candidates aiming to earn the senior secondary school certificate for either academic advancement or professional development. This initiative is part of WAEC’s ongoing efforts to increase accessibility through digital platforms and more flexible exam schedules.
