CONTENT OF THE LESSON
Meaning of Soil
Soil is the top part of the ground where plants grow.
It is part of our environment.
Soil is made up of tiny pieces of rocks, water, air, and dead plants and animals.

Let pupils touch and observe samples of soil brought to class.
Ask them: “Is the soil soft or rough? Is it dry or wet?”

Uses of Soil
Soil is very important to both living and non-living things.
