Scheme of Work for Islamic Studies – Primary 1 - NERDC Curriculum
The Primary 1 Islamic Religious Studies (IRS) Scheme of Work is designed to introduce young learners to the basic teachings of Islam, including the Arabic alphabet, Qur’anic recitation, moral conduct, cleanliness, prayer, and the attributes of Allah.
At this foundational level, pupils learn how to practice Islam in daily life, understand key beliefs, and develop good character. The scheme combines Qur’an, Tauhid (faith), Fiqh (practice), and moral teachings, helping pupils grow spiritually and morally.
