Lesson 1 — Meaning of Booting
Booting is the process of starting up a computer when you switch it on. It is like the computer “waking up” and getting ready to work.
Simple definition: Booting means turning on the computer so it can start working.
What Happens During Booting?
- The computer turns on.
- The screen lights up.
- The computer loads its operating system (e.g. Windows).
- The computer is ready for you to use.
Lesson 2 — Ways of Booting
There are two ways to boot a computer:
