Teacher asks: “Do you like to decorate your room? Do you change your clothes?” (Yes). Teacher: “We can also decorate our computer desktop! Today we learn how.”
Lesson 1 — What Does Personalising Mean?
Personalising means changing the way the computer looks and works to make it your own. Just like you choose your school bag colour, you can choose your computer’s look.
What you can change:
- Wallpaper (background picture)
- Screensaver (moving picture when computer is resting)
- Theme (colour and sound pack)
- Time and date
Lesson 2 — Wallpaper (Desktop Background)
Wallpaper is the picture or colour on the desktop behind the icons.
How to Change Wallpaper

Lesson 3 — Screensaver
Screensaver is a moving picture or animation that appears when you do not use the computer for a few minutes. It protects the screen and looks fun.
How to Set Screensaver

Lesson 4 — Theme
Theme is a complete package that changes the wallpaper, colours, sounds, and mouse pointers all at once.
How to Change Theme

Lesson 5 — Time and Date Settings
Time and date show the current time and day on the computer.
How to Change Time and Date

| 3 | Turn off “Set time automatically” (if on). |
