Introduction

Water is one of the necessities of life. Animals, plants, and human beings cannot live without water. Apart from its uses at home, water is also very important in industries — places where goods are manufactured and processed.

Industrial Uses of Water

Industrial Use Explanation
1. Fabricating Water is used in making and assembling parts in factories.
2. Processing Water is used in processing raw materials into finished goods, e.g. in food and beverage factories.
3. Washing Water is used to wash raw materials, equipment, and factory floors.
4. Diluting Water is used to dilute thick substances to the right concentration.
5. Cooling Water is used to cool hot machines and prevent overheating.
6. Mixing Chemicals Water is used to mix chemicals in pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
7. Producing Products Water is a key ingredient in producing food, drinks, paper, and other products.
8. Transporting Products Water (rivers, seas) is used as a means of transporting goods from one place to another.
