Safety Rules in Athletics (General)

  1. Follow simple instructions.

  3. Wear appropriate kits.
  4. Run straight in case of 25, 50 and 75 metre races.
  5. Stay fit.
  6. Warm up and stretch.
  7. Stay hydrated.
  8. Follow a good diet.
  9. Get enough rest.

Simple Jumps — High Jump

The simple jump involves jumping over raised bars.

Basic Skills

  1. The Run: Can be long or short depending on pupils’ style.
  2. The Take Off: Jump very high to clear the bar.
  3. The Flight: Jumping over the raised bar.
  4. The Landing

Health Benefits of Simple Jump

  1. Builds stronger muscles and bones.
  2. Leads to leaner bodies.
  3. Less risk of becoming overweight.
