  • Data and information examples on board

CONTENT OF THE LESSON:

Data: Thess are raw facts and figures. Example: “25”, “Blue”, “Tall”.
Information: These are processed data that has meaning. Example: “The boy is 25 years old.”

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY:
Teacher writes “20” on board and asks: “Is this data or information?”

CLASS EXERCISE 1:
Write 2 examples of data.

CLASS EXERCISE 2:
Write 2 examples of information.

CLASS EXERCISE 3:
What is the difference between data and information?
