CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY:
Show pupils a bowl of water and ask: “What is this? What do we use water for?” Allow pupils to give their responses.
MEANING OF WATER:
Water is a clean liquid that we drink. It is very important to all living things. It is the liquid that falls from the sky as rain and forms rivers, lakes, and streams.
SOURCES OF WATER:
We can get water from many places. Some of them are:
- Rain – water that falls from the sky
- Tap – pipe water that comes from the water board
- Well – dug hole in the ground that stores water
- Borehole – deep hole that brings water from underground
- Stream – small flowing water
- River – big flowing water
- Lake – still water body
- Spring – water that flows out of the ground naturally
