Primary 1 Cultural and Creative Arts Scheme of Work (NERDC)

Scheme of Work for Cultural and Creative Arts (CCA) – Primary 1 - NERDC Curriculum

The Primary 1 Cultural and Creative Arts (CCA) Scheme of Work is designed to introduce young learners to creativity, culture, music, drama, and visual arts in a fun and practical way. At this foundational level, pupils explore their environment through drawing, singing, storytelling, and group activities.

The scheme helps children develop creative expression, teamwork, cultural awareness, and confidence. It combines elements of music, drama, dance, and crafts, making learning engaging and meaningful.

By the end of Primary 1, pupils are expected to understand basic artistic concepts, participate in cultural activities, and express themselves through different art forms.

The Primary 1 Cultural and Creative Arts Scheme of Work is a weekly teaching guide that introduces pupils to basic art concepts, music, dance, drama, crafts, and cultural practices across three school terms.
