Scheme of Work for English Language – Primary 1 - NERDC Curriculum – Revised Version (September 2025)
The Scheme of Work for English Studies Primary 1 (2025 Curriculum) on StudyZone.ng is carefully developed in line with the latest NERDC-approved curriculum for Nigerian primary schools. It provides teachers, school owners, and education stakeholders with a structured guide for teaching English Studies effectively at the foundational level.
This scheme of work covers key language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing, phonics, grammar, and vocabulary development, presented in a logical, week-by-week format. The content is designed to support young learners as they develop basic communication skills, build confidence in language use, and form a strong literacy foundation.
In line with the 2025 curriculum implementation policy, this scheme applies specifically to Primary 1 pupils beginning a new learning cycle. It supports smooth classroom delivery, proper lesson planning, and alignment with continuous assessment and national learning standards.
