CONTENT OF THE LESSON
INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY:
Teacher holds up a keyboard and asks:
- “Can anyone tell me what this is?”
- “What do we use it for on the computer?”
Pupils respond and explore the keyboard if available.
MEANING OF KEYBOARD
- The keyboard is a part of the computer used to type letters, numbers, and symbols.
- It has many keys.
- Each key has a letter, number, or symbol on it.
USES OF THE KEYBOARD
We use the keyboard to:
- Type letters (A–Z)
- Type numbers (0–9)
- Press the spacebar to leave spaces
- Use Enter to move to a new line
- Use Backspace to erase

- Letter keys: A, B, C…
- Number keys: 1, 2, 3…
