CONTENT OF THE LESSON

INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY:

Teacher displays a computer setup and asks:

  • “Can you point to the monitor?”
  • “Who can tell me what this (mouse) is used for?”

Teacher allows pupils to respond and hold/touch the mouse and point at the monitor if available.

THE MONITOR

  • The monitor is like a television.
  • It shows us what we are doing on the computer.
  • You can see letters, numbers, pictures, and videos on it.
 

Monitor = Computer Screen

What you see on the monitor are: Letters, Pictures, Games, Videos

THE MOUSE

  • The mouse is a small tool you hold with your hand.
  • It helps you to move an arrow on the screen.
  • You use it to click, open, drag, and select things on the computer.

Parts of a Mouse:

  • Left button
  • Right button
  • Scroll wheel
 
 

Basic Actions:

  • Click: Press and release the left button once.
  • Double-click: Quickly press the left button twice.
  • Drag: Hold the left button and move the mouse.
